Hello Dear Readers.
Shall we chat?
Forgive me for starting out my substack journey many months ago anticipating such consistency from myself… here I am… many months succeeding my promised ‘weekly substack’ with only a few writings to show for. Nonetheless, we carry on. If you are here, welcome. I am delighted to virtually engage with you and share bits and pieces of my life.

If you follow me on Instagram (which I’m assuming you do if you found this substack) then you know I recently made a big move. After many amazingly incredible years on the west coast, it was time to set sail back to Florida … specifically Niceville ( :) ), Florida. I write this to you from the couch of my childhood home.
There is a big theme I am learning right now in the midst of this transition. Don’t zone out now. I think some of you may relate.
After erasing paragraphs, I begin again because the point I want to make is really so simple and short. There is permission to be slow. Not every season needs to be 19021 mph. I have a tendency to FILL my life with so many things including things that are categorized as ‘good’. I feel nudged to go slower. To actually look up and be present. To not miss the people standing right in front of me whether that’s my dad or the cashier in the grocery store. To have open nights. To hangout with less people. I have believed the lie that in order to be used by God, I must fill every single second of my day. It feels unnatural and wrong to not do so. I don’t want to do just to do. Yes, there are seasons where God gives us a greater capacity for more. But I am learning that He also gives moments in life to breathe, and just take it all in. To be slow and sometimes say no.
I’ve been processing through these thoughts for the last couple of weeks and decided to document them electronically tonight. So alas, we meet again.

on another note…
THINGS I WANT TO POUR MORE INTO MY LIFE:
Clean products (shoutout Primally Pure)
Tan lines … somehow, someway.
TRUST even when I don’t understand what the heck God is doing.
Heatless curls: life changing.
Color in my outfits - life is too short to only wear neutrals.
Things I am currently wondering about:
The Drones.
Are vaccines good for kids?
Are supplements worth it?
If you are interested in furthering this convo, feel free to entertain me below in the comment section or shoot me a funny text.
And if you made it to the end and are plagued with curiosity over whether or not my moving POD made it to Florida, the answer is yes.
Have an amazing week and remember that,
the best is still coming … Heaven !!
xx Blake
