My new life theme...
POUR MORE.
First of all, Hi! I know I said I was going to make this a weekly thing and I failed to deliver that promise… but I am trying to do better. My journal is being greedy and taking all the words I have to spew these days. But alas, substack prevails today.
If you read the title and sub-title, you must know what this is going to be about. But if you didn’t, I am popping on here to discuss my new theme. Over the past couple weeks I have randomly been reading and seeing so much on soil, nutrients, and tending to gardens both literally and metaphorically (hence all the influencers I follow who are getting into gardening- which makes me happy).
You are probably asking yourself where I am going with this. Here it comes. As a result of seeing this gardening theme so much recently, I have subconsciously been thinking a lot about how to tend to my own garden… so to say. What weeds I need to get rid of, the flowers I see sprouting up, the places I want to plant seeds, the dead flowers. So on and so forth - you get the gist. Out of all of these thoughts and lots of conversations with friends (I promise we don’t just have deep soul navigating convos) my new theme was birthed: POUR MORE.
What can I pour more into my life? What can I pour more into the lives of others? What do I need to pour less of into my life so that I can pour more of something else? I have a lot of fun ideas with this theme that I am excited to get the ball rolling on such as doing more frequent Instagram Q&A time talking about this theme, dinnnerrrrr parties, and more that I am not sure of yet but will hopefully soon think of.
I don’t know how many of you will read this but if you made it to the end, I would love to hear your thoughts or any ideas you may have! I want to see social media become more and more a place of real genuine, authentic community. I’ll save that rant for next time.
Love you all & the best is still coming !!!!! (Heaven)
Before I go… I want to POUR MORE fearlessness into my life.
That’s all.
Xx,
Blake

To think that to be able to “pour” we have to gain from our source which is Christ too! That we must gain from Him to be able to give! I think many feel tired from giving when they begin to think it’s all on their own resources, but through Christ we are renewed! 🚰 (this emoji is a metaphor!)
